Is Mis Plumas free?
Yes. The app is free and ad-free on Android, iPhone and iPad and, with your account, you can also use it in the browser with the web version.
Is it suitable for canaries, wild species and exotics?
Yes. Its catalogue has more than 600 species and includes the genetics of each group: canaries, cockatiels, Gouldian and zebra finches, lovebirds, Spinus and Carduelis, society finches, other estrildids and psittacines, and hybrids. More in Genetics by species.
Can I use it as my breeding record and to keep track of rings?
Yes. You record pairs and clutches, follow each egg (candling, hatching, foster parents) and the app reminds you when it is time to ring the chicks. No ring is repeated within your aviary, and each breeding season stays on record when you close it. More in Pairs and clutches.
Does it work out the genetics of a cross and inbreeding?
Yes. The genetics calculator gives the expected proportions of the offspring, with carriers and sex-linked mutations, and flags lethal crosses. When you form a pair, the app warns you about kinship and the inbreeding percentage, without stopping you from breeding them.
Does it work offline and on a computer?
Yes. Each device keeps its own aviary, so you can work without coverage. If you turn on sync with your account, the same aviary stays up to date on your phone, your tablet and the web version on your computer. More in Cloud sync.
Where is my data stored?
On your device. You can back it up to Google Drive or to a file and, if you turn on the cloud, it is also stored in your account: it is encrypted in transit and each aviary remains isolated from the others. More in Backups.
